Just in case you missed it - 2017 Law Changes you should be aware of:


Just in case you’ve missed it, here are the 2017 NZ Law Changes you should be aware of:

1. Minimum wage rates rise – The adult minimum wage rate has gone up 50c to $15.75 an hour.

2. GST online services – you can now file and pay your GST at online – there’s no need to send them by post anymore. Talk to our team at TAG if you want to learn how.

3. Cheaper ACC Work levies – you don’t need to do anything, ACC will calculate your new levy, which will be in your next invoice.

4. Contractors – All contractors can have tax deducted from their pay at a rate of their choosing. New Zealand tax residents can pick any rate from 10% up to 100%. Could be the way to go if you are bad at saving your tax money! Recruiters must do this now,
